Award Type
By selecting an award type for your scholarship, students can more easily connect with the scholarship that is right for them. We ask that you select the one award type that best describes the main criteria used to select the recipient.
Examples:
If your scholarship criteria include academic scores and financial need but preference is given to a student who has been active in his or her community, then choose Service Based as your award type. If your scholarship is selected on a combination of different criteria and each carries equal weight in the selection process, then choose Multiple Criteria as the award type. Definitions of Award Types Activity Based: Scholarship selection is based heavily on a student's participation in specific a group, club, athletic team, or camp. Faith Based: Scholarship selection is based heavily on a student's participation or membership in church and/or religious groups and activities. Field of Interest: Scholarship selection is based heavily on a student's major in school or his/her desire to focus work within a particular field after graduation. Multiple Criteria: Scholarship selection is based on several different criteria, with each criteria carrying equal weight in the selection process. Please specify details in the description or preference sections. Need based: Scholarship selection is based heavily on a student's financial need. Service Based: Scholarship selection is based heavily on a student's commitment to volunteering or serving his/her community. Scholastic Based: Scholarship Selection is based heavily on a student's grade point average, test scores, and/or class ranking.
